Considering freelancing?

Let’s turn your idea into a workable business.

Drawing on my years of building and running Add Salt, I'll help you work through the full freelance journey: from deciding what to offer and setting your prices, to finding clients, marketing your services and putting the right foundations in place.

We'll explore:

  • Services to offer;

  • Packaging and pricing your work;

  • Finding and winning clients;

  • What you need in place before launch

You'll finish the session knowing what to prioritise and what to do next.

Already freelancing and need some inspiration or guidance?

Your client pipeline may have slowed, your services no longer feel right or you may be unsure which direction to take your business.

Together, we'll look at the bigger picture, your positioning, services, pricing, marketing, and approach to winning new clients. Together, we'll look at:

  • Your service offering and target clients;

  • Is your pricing right;

  • How to strengthen your offer;

  • What's holding you back;

  • Where to focus your time and energy next.

You'll leave with clarity, an experienced outside perspective, and a plan of action.

Freelance advice,
not coaching

This isn’t a long-term coaching commitment, a course or a framework designed to make you find all the answers yourself.

It’s an honest, commercially focused conversation with an experienced marketing consultant who has set up, marketed and run a successful freelance business from end to end.

I’ll give you a constructive outside perspective, challenge your thinking where needed and share recommendations based on your situation.

In September, I'm offering a special introductory price of £150 for a single Freelance Salt Session which includes:

  • A short discovery questionnaire;

  • A focused 60-minute video call or face to face session (for locals);

  • A summary of key actions.

Why talk to me about freelancing?

About me

When I first started freelancing, it didn’t feel like something people like me did. I’d spent my whole career working for companies and, if I’m honest, self-employment felt like something for privileged people.

Six years on, I’ve built Add Salt into a successful freelance business. But it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. I’ve had quiet periods,  wondered where the next client would come from and, at times, considered going back to a “proper job”.

I’ve also learned how to set up, market and run a freelance business from end to end: I can help you with the practical side of starting a freelance business, as well as the commercial decisions around services, pricing, marketing and finding clients and adapting when things change.

That experience is what I bring to The Freelance Salt Session. Not a coaching framework or theory, but practical advice from someone who has been through the ups, downs and everything in between ...and still believes becoming self-employed was one of the best decisions I ever made.

"Bev helped me explore, challenge and refine a new business idea. What impressed me most was Bev's ability to move seamlessly between strategic thinking and practical application. She not only challenged and refined the business concept but also took the time to walk through the realities of establishing and running a small business.

"The session gave me much greater clarity. I left with more confidence, a clearer direction and a far better understanding of what I needed to do next. I’d highly recommend Bev to anyone looking for practical, insightful and experience-led business advice."
